Sirens is a site specific sound installation incorporating eleven salvaged organ pipes placed in natural holes in the lip of a sea cave situated in Cala Tarida on the island of Ibiza. The lapping of the waves displaces air through the pipes creating an ethereal sound. The pipes integrate beautifully with the environment and in a sense they become performers. Although no direct interaction was had between the sound created and those who gathered, the process attracted and engaged the curiosity of passers by who were intrigued by the source of the mysterious sound.
